Why Healthcare

My move into healthcare is grounded in lived experience and a career spent helping people navigate important decisions. During cancer treatment and an autologous stem cell transplant, I saw how much clear communication, dependable follow-through, and practical support can shape a patient’s experience.

What changed for me

That experience sharpened skills I had already built professionally: asking the right questions, finding useful resources, explaining complicated information, and staying engaged until a problem is resolved. Supporting other patients showed me that those strengths can make a meaningful difference in healthcare.

What I bring

I bring more than two decades of customer-facing experience across service, sales, training, operations, and community building. I have guided people through financing, major purchases, technical information, service concerns, and stressful decisions—always with an emphasis on trust, clarity, accountability, and respect.

Where I want to contribute

I am pursuing patient advocate, patient navigator, care coordinator, patient experience, member services, and related roles where I can help people understand next steps, overcome barriers, and remain connected to the care and resources they need.
